Whites (2 bottles of each)
Producteurs Plaimont, Cotes de saint Mont AOC, Millésime d’Exception – South West France
Intermingling citrus fruit and accacia flower with a hint of spice, this wine is round and long with good complexity and agreable freshness.
Viña Fray Leon, Naciente Sauvignon Blanc – Maule, Chile
Brilliant light greenish-yellow, the wine has aromas of citrus notes and fruits such as green apples, white-fleshed peaches and pears, harmoniously combined with wild flowers with a herbal touch. The palate is fresh and fruity with tense acidity, balanced body and a long finish.
Château Saint-Cyrgues, Chateau Saint-Cyrgues - Southern Rhone, France
Bright pale gold colour, citrus, yellow peach and pear aromas, generous palate but with a lot of subtlety and freshness.
Reds (2 bottles of each)
Domaine Matha, Marcillac Cuvée Lairis - South West, France
Expressive nose with aromas of red and black berries, herbal and spices on the palate.
Casa Azul, Cabernet Sauvignon - Rapel Valley, Chile
A dark red wine with a touch of purple. Complex cherry scents combine in the nose with chocolate to give an intense aroma. This is a medium-bodied wine with the taste of fresh grapes, balanced by sweet tannins. The persistence of the flavour is excellent.
Adega Cachin, Peza do Rei Tinto - Ribeira Sacra, Spain
Medium-bodied, sappy, mineral red, crunchy red fruits (redcurrant/cranberry) with refreshing acidity. Unoaked. This wine carries all the aromatic lift of the vineyards whence it comes.
