We aim to disptach any order placed before 2pm in the same working day. All orders are sent using DPD's next day pre 12 service, however, as our shop is relatively small we occasionally need to get wine in from bond, which will extend the delivery to 3-5 working days; deliveries are Monday to Friday only.

Recreational instrumentalist and former Head Waiter (at a Michelin starred gaff!), Harry, joins us having previously pursued a career in politics - but we won’t hold that against him. After seven weeks without internet, while supposedly ‘studying’ at Bordeaux’s prestigious Institut d’Etudes Politiques, Harry realised a lifelong ambition by committing Richard E Grant’s cult classic ‘Withnail and I’ to memory. Unlike the famously abstemious actor, Harry is partial to a cheeky Armagnac and has a soft spot for Sangiovese.
Apparently, Sam is Kevin Keegan’s second-cousin-once-removed. We’re not sure the Sales Desk offers the quieter pasture Sam was looking for after a decade of events management in London (“out of the frying pan and into the fire!”) but we’re happy to have the perpetually jocular, Monsieur Aiglon (pronounced Aay-glon). Not entirely averse to noise his teens were spent in the aptly named heavy metal outfit, Headache. Sam recently mentioned that grapes set alight when microwaved, thankfully he likes his grapes vinified - as well as ablaze - and in particular the wines of Domaine Plageoles!
Former lab technician and chemistry grad, Stu, took a rather circuitous route to Pew Corner, but he’s here now! After a stint at Majestic the wacky world of natural wine might be considered daunting, but for Stu it’s an opportunity to get tasting! Currently on a tasting giro d'Italia, Stu is particularly enjoying the vinous fruits of Piemonte and Toscana. Outside of work Stu could fairly be described as the outdoorsy type, while at home he’s a keen cocktail maker and has gained a few willing guinea pigs from the Les Caves pen (seriously, ask for an Old Fashioned or Espresso Martini!)
Pete originally joined Les Caves as a van driver, leaving the warehouse at some godforsaken hour in order to get the wine to our thirsty customer on time. Since then he has taken on the mantle of Warehouse Manager at Pew Corner, and spends most of his time behind the scenes finding ever-ingenious new ways to cram in bottles from our ever-expanding range into every last nook and cranny available. Pete is a master raconteur and never short of an anecdote, whether required or not.
Joining the company not long after Pete, Anthony has been and remains one of our most valuable secret weapons. He is always at the ready to come to the rescue and only he can navigate across London in his red van quite as efficiently as he does. When not out on deliveries, Anthony spends his time assisting his colleagues in the shop at Pew Corner (aka smashing bottles). Anthony also heads up the catering department at shop tastings, and the bacon sarnies he lays on at our annual stock take are the stuff of legend.
